Xitang is a living ancient town with more than 1,000 years of history and a quiet natural environment. Nine rivers converge in this town, dividing it
into eight sections, but many bridges link this water town together (anciently called “nine dragonas frolic a pearl ” and “wind from eight sides”).
Inside the town, there are many well-preserved architectural sites constructed during the Ming and Qing dynasties, which boast
both high artistry and cultural value.
A bird's-eye view of the town reveals waves rippling everywhere and every residence by water. In the morning, thin mist, like silk, hoovers
above the water, and the pinkish walled houses reflect in the water creating an enchanting scene.
